Gene would like to compare our family notes.In 1850 Illinois census I have found my G-G-Grandfather from France. His name is John Gangloff They are living in Woodford County. My g-grandfather is Andrew Ganloff and he is 9 years old- born in Illinois. On Andrew's death certificate his birth is listed as May 10, 1841.Later he married Elizabeth Roth in Peoria.My Grandmother Christine G. Gangloff was born in Washington Illinois in 1879..I would like to find out more about their immigration fom Alsace France if you have it.I am keeping in contact with Metamora newspapers for obits. and help from Washington Illinois Tazewell county Genealogical society.
