I need some info on my great great grandfather if anyone knows anything. He was born April 2, 1842 in Greenup County, Kentucky and died on August 14, 1916 in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma. He was married to Ellaby Simpson on April 23, 1867.
I think I found him on an 1860 census with the Charles Fletcher family. There is a story in my family that William's father died and he went to stay with a neighbor family. I was wondering if you anyone has any incite about this event. My father's family hasn't kept the best records about there ancestors and any help would be much appreciated. I am especially interested in knowing who William's father really is.
