Dear Don Mayer:
Thank you for answering. I am interested in all Ganschow surnames. Have found afew that I am related to. My great Grandfather settled into Carver Co. MINN the first time then moved to Danvers, ILL. Some children born in Germany and some born in ILL. I believe most of the Ganschows that came to the US were related in someway. We descend from a village near the Dutch boarder in Germany. The village is still there and known for its famous horses. Was under the Russian since WW11 probly not many records left there. Who knows.
I believe that my family came to the US about 1870 to 75. I did find that in someplaces like MINN the census did show a Genschow spelling and can be Ganshaw also or Gantshow, All the same family. Look in Chicago, ILL and you will see another family also some in New York. These days we are in lots of different states. I am please to hear from you. Thank you, Ardene
