Our families (Gruschow & Ganschow) are inter-related through the Seyberlich family (now Seyferlich). Warren Seyferlich, who is in this tread for your post, is also a cousin of yours. Your great grand-mother, Frida "Caroline" Elisabeth Seyberlich married Ludwig "Louis" Ganschow on Jan 26, 1875 in Chicago. Her parents are Ferdinand Carl August Seyberlich & Friederike "Frida" Caroline Elisabeth Grüschow (now Gruschow).
Frida Gruschow is my great grand-father's older sister. The Grüschow's came from Moltzow (Rambow Parish), Mecklenburg, Germany. The Seyberlich's came from Waren, Mecklenburg, Germany.
Your g. grand-father Louis Ganschow immigrated to the USA in 1860 from Germany. I do not know exactly where in Germany, but I believe it's also Mecklenburg.
So you see, you have both Ganschow & Gruschow ancestors.
Your g. g. grand-parents (Ferd & Frida Gruschow Seyberlich/Seyferlich) are buried at Wunders Cemetery, Chicago, IL, and I believe the Ganschow's also.
