John Gansert was born in Baden in 1819.I do not know year of his emigration to Philadelphia but by 1881, John was a tailor living at 1716 Alder St. His wife Elizabeth was born in 1835 in Prussia. I don't know the date of their marriage, but based on oldest son's age, it was around 1859. John and Elizabeth had six children: William (1860), John (1862), Henry (1866), Charles (1871), Otto(1876) and Edward(1879). All were born in Philadelphia. Most grew up to be tailors as well.I would be interested in any other info that can be provided.
