Philip Gansler of PA. in 1765

August 15, 1765:
Came from Germany to Pennsylvania about eleven Years ago, with one of his Friends, a lad named John Philip Gansler; he was born at the Village of Nusloch, near Heidelberg, in the Palatinate, and was, when he came to this Country, about Ten years of Age, and his Mother at that Time married to Andrew Wetstein, her second Husband. Her present Husband's Name is Michael Munch, living in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, at Philip Brondel's Mill. She should be glad to know whether this her Son John Philip Gansler be alive yet, and where in that Case he resides. If this comes to his knowledge, he is desired to send Word where he lives to Henry Miller, Printer, in Second-Street, Philadelphia, or to go and see his Mother, at the aforesaid Place; and desired, for weighty reasons, to acquaint the said Henry Miller with it, or his Step-father.
MICHAEL MUNCH

I am not related to this family, I am just passing on this information, which comes from a book titled "Runaway Women, Elopements And Other Miscreant Deeds, As Advertised In The Pennsylvania Gazette - 1728 -1789. (together with a few abused wives and unfortunate children)." Compiled by Judith Ann Highley Meier. Published by Closson Press. 1993. Page 42.
Joyce
