Truman Ganstine Reply

Unfortunately, I have just began research on the Ganstine side of my mother's family. The
1900 Federal Population Census in Carroll Co. Arkansas lists Sarah Ganstine (head, age 48 born in Missouri married 5 years). Sarah was Truman Ganstine's second wife and she remarried (her third) to become Sarah Surburgh. Truman Ganstine had died by the 1900 Census, but the Census record indicates that the father of James, Charles, and Ella Ganstine was born in Missouri. This seems to be a problem; I cannot find any Ganstines listed in the Missouri Census Indexes.
James Edward Ganstine was born February 1875, his brother Charles Ganstine was born July 1880 in Missouri, and a sister Ella Ganstine born April 1884 in Missouri. Another son, Frank Ganstine was listed in an old family list as died in infancy.
Perhaps we can make a match, as you know Ganstine is a rare sirname. I will keep your reply on file, if I find out anything in my research.
