There are a lot of Gants in Ohio finding the right one is very difficult,have narrowed it
down to Belmount or Guernsey Counties Ohio
because found the Preacher that married Thomas Anderson Mary Ann Gant. Do have a census 1860 of a family of Gant,s in Knox County,Ohio Family of Samarand Gant ,and of
Samuel and one of Stephen.
