This is what I found out. Damaso is one of the sons of Juan Garay, who settled in Aguirre, Salinas, Puerto Rico, who was the brother of Nieves Garay, who settled in Guayama. One of the sons of Nieves Garay is Ernesto Garay, who is the grandfather of my husband.

Juan had the following children: Damaso, Guillermo, Eliseo, and Davina. My father in law, who lives in Guayama knows these people. Indeed, there are several cousins in Salinas and they do own a driving school. :)
