I am seeking information about the family of Sarah Elizabeth Garbut who was born in Cramahe Twp in about 1841. It is believed that she was the daughter of John and Rachel Garbut who appeared in Cramahe records as early as 1839 and had seven children at the time . Another John Garbut also appeared in the records for Cramahe and who may be a son of the other John had two males over 16 and one female over sixteen in the household. Sarah Elizabeth may have been a member of either of these families. Other Garbutts that were in the area over the next years and people who may have been Sarah Elizabeth's siblings were the following: Rachel who married Solomon Wait in 1848, James who married Mary Ann Watson in 1868 and Virginia who married Franklin Young in 1864. Sarah Elizabeth married Smith Reynolds in 1857and they lived out these years in Percy Twp near Warkworth. Sarah Elizabeth died in 1890. Does anyone know anything more about these Garbutt families and their descendants?
