We purchased an antique sidebord here in Florida for our Bed & Breakfast 5 years ago. We have discovered that it was owned by the Garbutt family of Wheatland, Monroe County, New York. When we were cleaning out the drawers we found an old bill of sale from an estate sale in 1934. The old paperwork said that this sideboard came out of the original family estate (1850's) of John Garbutt and his son Philip Garbutt of Garbuttsville, near Wheatland, Monroe County, NY. We have since sold our Bed & Breakfast. We would like to see this sideboard (and provenance) go to a family member or descendant as we do not have the space for this beautiful piece of furniture. We have placed it into storage at this time. It is in great condition. Would be a shame to send it to an antiques dealer. Steve Sika Clearwater, Florida
