In about 1883 a John Gardiner emigrated to Maryborough Queensland Australia and married one Annie Laurie . They had three boys :
Norman, Frank Herbert and Robert (Bob).
Frank was my father and he was born in 1900 Died 1988
John Gardiner's father was also John and he was married possibly twice but my great grandmother was Penelope Erskine Gilchrist.
