Can anyone tell me if these two Thomas Garfields are the same person?
1. Thomas C Garfield born about 1852 in Ohio, married Mary E (possibly maiden name Brown) born about 1859 in Ohio. Their children: Montgomery b. 1880, Abram, and May.
2. Thomas Garfield, born in 1851 to Thomas Carlton Garfield and Sophia Bates. His grandparents were Thomas Garfield and Asenath Hill. Thomas Carlton Garfield's brother was Abram Garfield, the President's father.
