My great grandmother was Maria Gargano (she went by Pearl Gargano) had a sister Rose Gargano, and also a sister Vicky Gargano. Any relation??

I'm looking for children of Pietro Gargano & Agnese Mazzeo of Tramutola, Italy. My grandfather Giovanni was one of their children and moved to Brooklyn, NY @1907. I believe one of his brothers moved to Argentina around the same time. Other siblings remained in Italy. I have no names or dates for them. Thanks for your help, Pete

I would like to find information on Vincent Gargano born on 6/2/1911. His parents were Arcangelo and Raffaela Gargano. I know he married a woman named Barbara but then I don't know what happened to him. His is my Grandmother's brother. They were born in Brooklyn. Any help would be great.

I am looking for information on my Great Grandparents Arcangelo and Raffaela (Galdorisi) Gargano. They were born in S. Angelo Italy. They had six children: Michael, Vincent, Anna, Angelina, Gaetana (Dolly), and Joseph) Anna (Galdorisi) Boccia is my Grandmotehr. I am looking for information on the Gargano/Galdorisi side. Someone was on this site in 1999 inquiring about Gargano/Fasano. His name was Michael Barr. If anyone knows how to contact him please help me.

My Great Grandmother's name was Raffaela (Galdorisi) Gargano. She married a man named Archangelo Gargano. They had six children: Michael, Vincent, Anna, Angelina, Gaetana (Dolly), and Joseph. My grandmother is Anna (Galdorisi) Boccia. I have lots of information on my Grandmother Anna Boccia but not much on the Galdorisi/Gargano side. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. My Great Great Grandmother was a Gargano from Contessa Entellina. The town was founded by Albanians and Greeks in the 15th century. I'm with your regarding the spelling and I suppose that SOME of the Gargano's are actually from the Greek Gerganus/Garganus.

There are many Gargano's in Italy and I don't think all of them share this Greek heritage.

I am searching for my cousin Darlene whose mother's name was Bernice. I am attempting to match Darlene's born in California in 1932-1934 to a mother whose name was Bernice.
The California Birth Index gives the mother's maiden name but not a given name. My Uncle Martin Glover worked in a cannery between 1930 and 1933-34. I have verified that he was in Coulterville area in about 1934. Joyce Darlene Gargano was born in San Francisco County. I have a photo of Bernice and Darlene that looks like it was taken in Santa Barbara near the pier. Bernice would be of Portuguese descent. Any suggestions or connections you can make would be greatly appreciated. Or if this Darlene can be ruled out as a possibility.

Hello! I just got back from a few days of vacation in Italy and this renewed my curiosity of whether my name has any Italian roots. My name of GURGANUS dates back to the 1600's in the US and England, and has spelling variations of GURGANY and GARGANUS, among others. Before the 1600's, the name goes into a black hole.

I know of the region in Campania that references the Gargano name, and spelled Garganus in the 1500's, and more recently in the 1700's and 1800's there are families with the GARGANO name. It was exciting to see maps in the Vatican Museum in Rome from the 1580's showing "Garganus"

My question is, going back to the early 1600's and 1500's, and earlier, are there any documented families with the GARGANO or GARGANUS names, or other variations? Anywhere I can research to see if there might be any family connections?
