I have found Mathias Gargus sr. AT Lebanon, mo. buried in a small cemetary there. I have found Mathias'jr. first wife Sylvia&children on a census for 1860. I know he was born 1833 & came to MO. IN 1850 WITH WIFE&2 CHIldren. he was obvious around Lebanon until 1869. then he showed up in Calloway county in 1882. where he married a Goins woman. records show they had 4 children. . I have not checked this thoroughy, but one boy was named Nathaniel. he married grandma;s sister, Lillie Belle, no children then grandma. since grandma did not have a devorce, their marriage was not valid. when grandpa died, no one got his benifits,... katherine pauline gargus shackelford
