Hello.
I got your message on Anestry.com about John.
Colonels in the Civil War, as now, normally
come from well-do-do families and connected
politically with their state governor who did
appoint many officers. They were promoted by
field battles and honor or simply by the stroke
of a pen back in the state (that's politics).
So John Garley the farmer might not be the one
I am looking for. Yet, he may have been a very
wealthy farmer with influence. Interestng search.
Would you keep me in mind after your computer is
repaired and online? Details would help my search.
Thank you for e-mailing. I am still interested in
finding John and his family. Thank you very much.
Richard
