Harriett Garletts (Rhoades) was my Grandmother. I would be very interested in talking about Josiah. The information I have says that he was institutionalized in various mental hospitals in Oregon and Washington for a number of years prior to his death at Steilacoom, however, I have found nothing about why he was committed.
