Im doing biographical research on my grandfather Jose Maria Perez married to Antonia Navarro. About 1915-1916 Jose took in a badly wounded man that had excaped Mexico's revelotion at that time. He was only known as Don Casimiro. Eventually he recovered his several wounds, some were facial. Later, he would visit each Christmas for several years without fail until he finally didnt show. Im looking for information on him.
I have found: 1920 Federal Census from El Paso shows Leyose Casamero, 48, who entered from Mexico in 1916. A resident of Texas with his wife, Petra, 33, both from Mexico and one year old son born in Texas. This is the only one thus far that fits the time period.
If this story is part of your family please contact me at ernieperez@earthlink.net I would like to know more.

I'm one of the Garnica Family that originated from La Ladera, Michoacan ( North-East of the city of Zamora). My grandfather was Jesus Garnica, my uncles settled around Zamora and Jacona. In the late 1950s and early 60s some of our family moved to the Moorpark CA area. My father is Antonio U. Garnica he married Maria Elena Lopez, from La Ladera also. He retired, became a US citizen and moved back to Jacona. My mother passed away in 1994 in Jacona.

Roberto Lopez Garnica

Her name is Theresa Garnica her father was Jesus Garnica thats all I know for now. Her fathers branch settled the San Luis Valley in Colorado from what I remember her discussing with me. Her email is tga7@msn.com if you would like to contact directly. We are meeting on monday to try to find ancestors. She is envious of me tracing mine back to 300 AD. But european ancestors are easier. Thats why I offered to help her.

Hello Robert;
I am Cherie Wages, and my grandparents were from Michocan also, their names were Hulio Garnica and Marie Benitez Garnica. I knew my grandmother, but my Grandfather Hulio died a year before I was born. I have run into a brick wall here trying to get information on them. They are both passed away, and when my grandmother came to live with us, she could only speak spanish (so I didn't know what she was saying) she spoke no english. So that is why I know nothing about my grandfather or grandmothers parents, If you could help in any way I sure would appreciate it. My dad is full blood mexican, but was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma after my grandparents and 2 uncles and 1 aunt walked all the way to Tulsa back in the 1920's I believe, all my dad's brothers and sister have passed away, and I didn't get enough information, now I wish I had. I would love to learn about the our Garnica family. Course my mother had no mexican in her. Robert if you could help in any way I would appreciate it, I'm 57 years old and want to learn about our family, the sooner the better. So if you find anything out or know of anything email me back please, I am really desperate. Thanks, and God Bless!
Cherie Wages

Hi Robert: I was born in Churintzio, Michoacan and my Mom was born in Changuitiro, I remember some of your family Vicente and Consuelo Garnica, Vicente Garnica and his wife, they had children by the names of Jose Luis, Vicente, Arturo, Trina, Chela, they also had two little girls, I don't remember their names. When I was little I used to spend time in Changuitiro, back when there was no electricity, there were pigs, chickes, cows, donkeys and horses roaming the streets, which were dirt. I loved going there and playing in the creek. This Garnica family used to live in Santa Ana, CA.
