Finally found someone who posted a message about the Garnto name!!
I am looking for an Elizabeth Garnto who's son was named Carl Garnto. She was in her 90's when she died in the 1980's. I don't know what her husband's name was, but I believe she was from Georgia, and of Native American descent. This line of Garnto's came from Sicily.
Elizabeth and her son Carl lived in Umatilla, Florida until their deaths, and are buried there.
Carl Garnto's wife's name was Ruth, but I don't know what her maidian name was, nor Elizabeth's maidian name.
There was a Garnto in Myrtle Beach, S.C. in the 70 80's, but alas, no relation.
Carl Garnto was born on May14, 1910 and died July 25, 1991.
Carl's wife, Ruth, was born August12, 1913, and died on August 29, 1997.
