My niece, Carla, wrote you awhile back, she is very ubtereste interested in geting information on her ancestors. Her greatgrandmother Rebecca Elizabeth "Rich" Garnto from Umatilla, FL was married to James Wesley Garnto. The only thing we know for sure is that he worked for the RailRoad. That he either died around 1914 in Lake County Florida or got on the train one day and split, never to be heard from again. Leaving behind his wife and son Carl William Garnto who was my Father. I also have six brothers and sisters as well as a brother Richard who is deceased. If you could give me a little background on your family I would appreciate it. We never had any relatives named Garnto and frankly had a rough time in school because we grew up with people with common names like Jones, Williams, Jackson, Green, etc and were teased because our name was so different. We all learned how to fight back at a very young age. Not having many relatives growing up was also a little strange. We did have relatives on my Grandmother's side but never saw them until we were teenagers. With the net we are getting information to fill in the blank spots. I have located a James Wesley Garnto on the net, who had several wives and kids, it would be interesting to find out what he did for a living. If you wouldn't mind sharing some information on your Garnto family, I would like to hear from you.
