My name is actually Herbert I am from Umatilla Fl. born in 1947 to Carl and Ruth. No one that I know knows anything about my Grand Dad. He appearently left my Grand Mother shortly after my dad was born. I am not sure where my dad was born but spent his early childhood in North Carolina. From the stories he used to tell me he worked in the textile mills as a yound child. He was born in 1910 as I understand. He was Carl William, I have a brother James Edward, some believe he was named after my Grand Dad but that may have been on my mothers side. My dad had 8 children who are now scattered all over I probably shouldn't tell you who they are as they might resent my putting them on the internet. I had two children Chad and Ted. I believe my Grand mother on my fathes side was a Rich before she married.
