My grandfather, Santo Altimari, came to America in 1910 with his mother, Santa Garofalo, and two sisters. The passenger record shows that they were going to Cincinnati, Ohio to reside with Santa's husband, Giuseppe Altimari. A local Cincinnati newspaper had done an interview with Santo many years ago where he stated that he had spent some time with his mother's cousin's family in Pennsylvania. The article mentioned that Santo's mother's cousin was the mother of Guy Lombardo, the bandleader.. No specific names were mentioned, but I am trying to link the Altimaris, Garofalos, and Lombardos so that I can find the common ancestor. This is a recent search so I will post any discoveries I make but I would appreciate any possible leads as well. Thanks.
