There has been very good response already to the holiday sale prices on DNA testing from Family Tree DNA. There are several new project members and kits have been ordered for new participants.
At least one of these participants was recruited by a researcher who was not a Garrison/Garretson male but as a Garrison descendant, they had an interest in having that line tested. If you do not have a male Garrison/Garretson in your close family, you can go looking for a likely participant. As long as that male is a direct all-male descendant of your Garrison/Garretson ancestor, they could be the answer to your puzzle. Sometimes all you need to do is ask, and of course make it clear that you will pay for the test.
More participants mean there’s a better chance of finding a match.
Half of the one month sale on Family Tree DNA tests through a Project has now passed. Don't wait too long.
