Joseph Garrett (a1799) from Georgia
I am looking for any information on a Joseph Garrett (born a1799 in Georgia). He migrated to Lowndes County, Alabama. It is highly possible that his brother would have been Silas Garrett (born a1804 in Georgia) because they are both from Georgia, migrated to Lowndes County and are listed in the 1850 census as living very close to each other.
Also, is anyone (or does anyone know) a researcher who can trace Garrett descendency and migration from South Carolina to Georgia and Alabama? The Garretts of this time and region seem to have a high number of the following names: Silas, Joseph, John, James, and William. Has anyone tracked the uses of these names through the Garretts descended from Sir William of England?
David Garrett
