LAWERENCE- Robert Garrod, 80, died Wednesday at his farm home in Arlington Township after several weeks illness. He was born in Methwood England, Dec. 19, 1860, and was married to Elizabeth Howes on Oct. 16, 1880. In June 1883, they and their young daughter emigrated to the United States, arriving June 27. They came directly to Lawrence and settled on their present farm. Mrs. Garrod died June 14, 1935. Mr and Mrs Garrod were the parents of two sons and five daughters. Mr Garrod leaves the following children: Mrs Sarah Crankshaw, Paw Paw: Miss Alice at home: William and Fred, Arlington Township: Miss Laura, Teacher in Kalamazoo Schools. He also leaves 10 grandchildren: a brother Fred of Willis. He was a member of the Lawrence M. E. Church. Services will be held at 2 Friday at the farm home with burial in Colburn Cemetery.
