I am sorry but I have very little if any information on the Zudrell line. Seems that everything I could find showed that very few males were born. My ex father-in-law had some family arguement and moved when his children were very young to Florida. I only heard that there may have been one cousin maybe named Ron? However if the last name was Zudrell or not I don't know. My father-in-law was named William R.Zudrell and he married Evelyn M? Erickson?? Both died in Florida.She died prior to 1969 and he died in either 1974 or 1975. They had one son Michael and one daughter Diane(she died around 2001)I did receive some information once from a man in Austria telling me where the name originated. From what I've been able to find the only people in this country with the Zudrell name are my ex and my daughter. However not everyone can be traced through phone records. I forgot they moved from Ephrata,Pa.and lived in Redding at one time. Records show that name was concentrated in that area and a couple of little townships close by there.I have wondered if maybe the family was Amish.That was the next direction my search was headed. If this small bit of info helps you, I look forward to any updates you may have. Since my daughter is an only child and has no idea of the heritage on that side of her family. Thank you Yvette. Christian Garver was born July 24, 1818, in Fairview Township, York County, Penn., son of Christian and Nancy (Horsht) Garver, the former a native of Lancaster County, Penn., the latter of Fairview Township. His grandfather, Garver, a native of Switzerland, came to America at a early day and settled in Lancaster County, Penn., where he followed farming. Subject’s father was born in 1775, came to York County when about twenty-five years of age, and settled in Fairview Township, where he owned several fine farms, and was also engaged in distilling. He retired from active life a few years previous to his death in 1849, at the age of seventy-five years. Our subject was reared on the farm, and in 1845 began farming for himself, which occupation he followed ten years. He then retired from active work, and has since resided in New Market, Fairview Township. He owns a finely improved farm of 160 acres, and a fine residence in New Market. In 1845 he married Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Tobias Miller, of Cumberland County, Penn. They have had four children: Anna Baughman, Benjamin (deceased), Elizabeth (deceased), and Christian M. The latter lives on his father’s farm.

I am researching information on descendents of Fidel Zudrell who immigrated from Germany. I noticed your post because I just finished documenting information for Fidel's son, Joseph Zudrell, and his family. I found that your mother, Dorothy, was Joseph's youngest child. I am tracing information on this family for a friend who descends from Joseph's brother, John. I found from immigration information that Fidel was born 18 March 1827 in Luetzenhardt, Germany. He was married to a lady with the first name of Julia who was also from Germany. I have been unable to locate her name as of this point.

I have seen several different versions for Joseph's wife's name. I saw her as Cresentia. In one census I saw her listed as Nancy in the household of Martin and Katie Kronebeter. She also had a older sister, Mary. In another census I saw her listed as Agnes. Any input on the variations?

I would be interested in any information that you would have to share.

On Milton all I have is he was born in 1855 and died in 1911 They had 9 children. I don't have a Ida May but I do have a Effie May there first child. Could this be the same daughter. If so I need the dates on Ida. I also have that she married a Unknown Quisenberry and I don't have any dates on him. They lived in Lexington Ky.

My great-great grandfather was John Garver of Lincolnton North Carolina. He was married to Susana Garver. He was originally from Ohio and served in an Ohio regiment during the Civil War as a bugle player at the age of 15. I would like to know the names of his parents and which Garver immigrants he descended from. I have heard the original immigrants of my family were two brothers, John and Jacob Garver or Gerber who were anabaptists who came here to escape persecution and landed in Maryland. Can anyone confirm or correct this?
