She is the possible birth mother of my mother referred to below. My mother was initially named Dorothy Garvie before adoption. Tessie was born 9/25/1889 in Miller Hand, South Dakota, by her mother Harriet Sheen and her father William Raynes Garvie. Prior family history is available on the father but have nothing else at this time on Tessie re: brothers, sisters, marriage, etc. Looking to verify this is the same Tessie Garvie on the adoption papers that we do possess.
