Ancestry.com has posted new information and I was able to find William and Nancy Gaskins in Hamilton Co FL on the 1885 Fl State Census. Nancy is Ann Nancy (or Nancy Ann) Poppell the d/o Paul Poppell of Madison County FL and M1 James Lemuel Kirkland and M2 William Gaskins about 1860. Ellafair, the oldest dau has left home but Mahala is still there and 18 yrs old. Living with them is Willy Winn, 20, he and his parents were born FL, and his occupation is listed as servant. I assume this Willy Winn is who Mahala married. Willy's parentage is still a mystery to me so if you have any help with that or if I can be of any help with Mahala Gaskins material, let me know. gosborne@stny.rr.com
