I have finally traced my great grandfather back to Frosolone. He was Nicholas Palangio. His mother was Vittoria Tasillo and his father was Donato. Nicholas and his mother came here in 1878. They lived in NYC.
The spelling of the last name was changed so so many times, it was very hard to find them. But I did!!
I would love to hear from any Palangios who just might be related or have done further research with Palangios.

my son is a 4th generation Carmine Imbriglio from Rhode Island.The family came from West Warwick and there were many children. My father in law is no longer with us but I do know he was a West Warwick police officer. You can contact me @ kristend124@aol. com

Just reading this post. I'm sure we are related. My grandfather, Carmine Imbriglio, came to RI in 1902 from Catailli, Conca Della Campania, Caserta, Italy. He did tell us that we had members of the family in NJ and that members of the family had gone to Brazil. His father's name was Giuseppe who I believe had five brothers. I'm trying to find Giuseppe's marriage to determine the names of Giuseppe's parents to link other branches of the family info that I have. How far back does your link go?

I am trying to find the marriage of Nicandro Imbriglio and Maria Gasparro, and the names of Nicandro's parents. I believe there is a link to my grandfather also a Carmine Imbriglio.

Hi Anna,
Your forbears undoubtedly came from Frosolone, Campobasso, Italy. I am a Palangio on my maternal grandmother's side and that is the village from which they came. You and I are very probably related. I would appreciated hearing from you and any other Palangios, especially from Frosolone.

I am looking for information on a Michael Segilia/Sicilia and his wife Mary Amati. Origionally from Calabria, Italy they settle in Lofty, Pennsylvania. Recorded on the 1910 Census, but no earlier record of them. Children; Russell, Carmella, Joseph m Elsie (children; Joseph, James, Gloria, Harry, John & Frederick), Lewis m Lillian (son Russell) and Thomas m Mary (son James) .

I am looking for information on Felicia Gaspare (m. Francis Rastelli) or her 2 brothers Giovanni & Eqidro. All came from Ascoli Piceno, Italy on the Prinz Adalbert on March 17 1906. Travelling with them were Felicia's 2 children; Adalgida (Agnes) and Dino. Adalgida was my grandfather's mother. I would also like information on Dino, if anyone has it.

My grandmother was an Imbriglio who migtrated with her family to Brazil where she met and married my grandfather. They picked coffee beans on coffee plantations before they came to the USA. They settled in Harrison, NJ. There was an uncle that settled in California and an aunt who married a Portugese man in Brazil and settled in Massachusetts, Boston I believe. Another uncle settled in either Newark or Belleville, NJ. My mother had an Aunt Catherine who lived in Jersey City. As I remember she had one son and three or four daughters. My Mom's name is Millie. The names of her cousins were Loretta, Josie who had twin boys, and Carl. I don't remember the names of the rest of the girls. I believe they came from Conca della Campania in Italy. My mother's grandmother lived with the Jersey City branch of the family. Do you know her name? My mother called her Mama Grossa. By the way, my grandmother's name was Theresa. During the seventies or the eighties my uncle and Carl got together and organized a family picnic at the county park in North Arlington. Are we related to the samee Imbriglios?

My grandfather was Frank Gasparre, came to US around 1910 (?) with his wife Anna Coviello; spelling was changed to Caspare. They eventually settled in Brooklyn and had 10 childre, my mother was the youngest. I think they originally were from Bari but I have no further info and would like some.

My grandmother on my paternal side had the maiden name of Palangio. Her father was John, mother Donata, came from "Forcilone" Italy, she was born in Warwick RI. As far as I know she had a sister Maggie who had 19 kids and a brother Tom who remained single until he died. My grandmother Anna was born in 1885. Any relation do you think?

the Gaspare name is one of many in the changes original was DiGasparro. All came to the U.S IN THE LATE 1890S
MOST LIVED IN JERSEY CITY AND WEST NEW YORK, N.J. ALL CAME FROM THE CASERTA AND NAPLES AREA. HAVE LOTS OF NAMES ON DEFELICE AND DATES AND SHIP LISTS ONE WAS A CARLO ANTONIO DEFELICE.

My g-grandmother's name was Eleanora Gaspare married to Carlo DeFelice. Are either of these name in your family tree. Also I noticed the surname Nonio by any chance could this had been Iorio and changed in the USA. My Gaspare, DeFelice and Iorio's all came from Naples.

My Aunt Mary married a George Palangio, lived in Jersey City before moving to West New York,N.J. BELIEVE THEY ATTENDED THE HOLY ROSARY CHURCH IN JERSEY CITY. My great grandfather, Felice came over from Compabasso, Italy, settled in Jersey City and opened a paper recyling mill. My grandfather, Nicholas; my father, Phil; and I were all born in Jersey City.

My Aunt married a Carmine Imbriglio, My Aunt was a Di Gasparro came from Italy and lived in Jersey City where she married an Imbriglio. The attended the Holy Rosary Church in Jersey City.
