This is Harrison Gasque here in Columbia,SC. Let me tell you alittle bit about my family. My brother was Thomas E. Gasque born May 12, 1955 died April 9 2003 he was a Manager at Folline Vision Center here in Columbia,SC. I was born Oct 10 1958 in Richmond, Va and from what I am told my brother was born in Florence, SC. My father was the late Thomas Nelson Gasque born in 1921 in Florence,SC. Thomas N. Gasque was Assistant General Counsel of Labor Relations for the U.S. General Services Administration in Washington,DC. My grandfather was the late U.S. Congressman Allard Henry Gasque who represented the Sixth District from 1923-1938. My grandmother was the late U.S. Congresswoman Elizabeth Gasque VanExum who was South Carolina"s First Congresswoman 1938-1939 and she died in 1990 at 102 years old. I am a former radio personality where I graduated from Columbia School of Broadcasting in Washington,DC in 1982. I have worked at WKDK-AM, WEEL-AM, WWGO-102FM, WNOK-FM/AM, WODE-AM WYYS-FM SUNNY-100 WSCQ-FM, WCOS-FM etc. I am pursuing a Associate"s Degree in Criminal Justice from Ashworth College. The answer to your question is that the Gasque"s came over from Gascony, France in the 1700s. We have Royal blood from France. We lived up in McLean, Va for about fourteen years where I graduated from McLean, High School in 1978. Keep in touch with me
