Dear William, What a wonderful day this is thanks to you. The picture you sent me is of my mother and her siblings. Starting from bottom left as you're looking at the pic, is my mother, Carole, her sister Mary Louise, her brother Edwin III, top left is Jane Ann and to her left is Lola. Edwin III died in the early 60's. Was a FHP officer killed in an ambush while looking for two escaped prisoners. The FHP headquarters in Daytona was dedicated to him several years back. Lola and Jane Ann both passed within the last couple years. Lola of Alzheimers and Jane Ann cancer. What is your mother's name. My mom may remember her. I didn't know about the lumberman connection. My notes had him and three brothers leaving SC for Florida one of which dropped off possibly in Ocala and the other two continuing to Dade City. I knew about the hotel as my mom grew up in the Edwinola. Apparently the one brother who also went to Dade City fell off the roof during construction and died. Yes we were Huguenots and actually I think I've managed to trace our history back to Gaston France in the 800's but there are some pieces missing in between. I know we are also related to both royal families in England and Spain. My problem has always been my Edwin Sr. father. One time I had him linked to Samuel and then Henry. Are they possibly the same. According to my mother, my great grandfather also had quite a few whiskey stills across Florida and may have some hidden money in Miami area. No proof to any of this of course.
