Legrande Carroll Gasque and Caroline (Young) are my Grandparents. My Dad(Woodrow R. Gasque)was their son. They had eight children. They did have a son named John, that served in the navy. However he did not have any children. My greatgrandfather was Jehu(sometimes was called John)and was married to Emmeline(Richardson). His Dad was John Gasque married to Ann Elizabeth last name unknown. Both John and Ann born c.1809.I would like to locate information on the children of Jehu and Emmeline.John died in Calhoun County Florida.Findings show children: Jehu born in South Carloina, Sarah born in South Carolina, Benjamin F.born in Alabama, John Jr.born in Alabama, and Elizabeth born in Alabama. In the 1850 pop. census, Calhoun Co.,Florida-John Gasque and Ann Elizabeth are both 41 yrs old and have the following children:Sarah 17 yrs old, John 16 yrs old, Benjamin 12 yrs old, Elizabeth 10 yrs old and Jehu Gasque 23 yrs old. Any infromation concerning this line will be very helpful. My Dad's sister Lottie Mae(Gasque)Fletcher lived in Broxton. My grandmother was living with her when she died. They both are buried in the Young's cemetery near Broxton.
