It's possible that Edward Gassett, son of Henry of Boston MA who contributed the Gassett/Gachet genealogy to the first volume of the NEHGR is my great great grandfather (father of Nelson who named his first son Edward). Believe Edward was born at Henry's summer home in Maine and m. a Maine girl. Does anyone know what happened to Edward who is listed as a Mariner living with his parents in the 1850 US census.
