William Gateley

William E. Gateley, 82, died in Sacramento, Calif., June 19, 2002.

A native of Dardanelle, he was a veteran of the Army-Air Corps in W.W. II. He was retired from the California Air National Guard-Hayward after 28 years of service. They then moved to Grass Valley where they lived for 10 years prior to coming to Sacremento, nine years ago.

He was a husband since 1941 of Nima Lucille Gateley of Sacramento, Calif.; father of Wayne Gateley and his wife, Renee of Sacramento, Calif.; Sharon Wakeling and her husband, Robert of Pasadena; brother of James Nolen Gateley; Corrine Burnett of Atkins; grandfather of Adam Wakeling, Kristi Alires, Ann and Patrick Gateley; great-grandfather of Haven Wakeling.

The service was at Land Park Chapel in Sacremento. Private Interment was at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery Gustine, Merced County, California.

Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are. This is here as a lasting memorial for Mr. Gateley.

The name is William Asid Biggs Gateley and he married Elizabeth A. Jarvis December 18, 1876. She was born in 1835. I have no further information on her.

Looking for info on Williams possibly last wife Elizabeth Ann Chaffin Jarvis Gateley they were married in 1876 in Lonoke County Arkansas and William is buried in a Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Arkansas. Any info would help me
