Dear Gately Surname Searchers:

I am researching my great-grandfather, Edward Kately. Since some of my findings have shown the alternate spelling of Gately, I am forced to consider both versions. Please see the reply entry made today by me on the Kately Surname Message Board. I have listed some information which may be helpful in identifying kin. Although my Kately's or Gately's were in New Jersey, I have found recent information of a New England background. Also, there are similarities found in given names to some of those listed in your message board. Please see if something connects.
