Looking for possible family connections and/or perhaps to be able to fill in some blanks in my husband's tree.

The oldest record we have for the Gates side is Henry N. Gates (b. 1821-1824 OH, d. before 1885 IA)). Married 1 May 1855 Green County, OH to Mary J. Richards (b. abt 1835 OH). By 1862 they were living in IA.

Charles H Gates married twice: Marriage 1 - 2 Nov 1884 in Appanoose Cnty, IA to Charlotte (Lottie) Grace Watson (b 1863 Keokuk Cnty, IA d 1905 Des Moines, IA) Charles owned a market on Walnut St in Des Moines.

Frederick C (b 1887 IA)-resided in IA and MN
Galeta M (b 1889 IA) - married name Randerson
Benjamin G (b 1891 IA)- resided in IA and probably ND
Charles H (b 1894 IA)- resided in IA briefly in MN
Paul J (b 1897 IA d 1960 CA) resided in IA, NB, CA

Second marriage - Martha Bradimus (married name Callan) (b 1878 IA d 1958 Des Moines, IA) During this marriage they lived in South Dakota as well as IA.

Robert Lee Gates married 2 Nov 1906 to Daisy Pearl Wilcox (b 1885 PA d 1918 TX)

Sue R (b 1915 TX d 1993 CA)

Phillip Lee Gates married about 1929-30 to Agnes (?) and had one daughter b in 193l - we would very much like to locate her or her family.

The living daughter has living children and now has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sue R Gates married 4 May 1936 to Stewart Franklyn Frederick (1908-1963). She has living children and great grandchildren.
