I am a beginning researcher in the Gattis line. My grandfather was Abbie James Gattis, his father was William Abner Gattis [Jr.], his father was William Abner Gattis who was married to Mary Renegar, his father was Isaac Gattis/Patty King. I am wanting to get my own documentation of events on these Gattis, especially the Williams to begin with. Can someone point me in the right direction. I know William Jr, died in Oklahoma 12 Apr 1894, and was married to Ester Tibitha Farr. I believe she was born 6 Jan 1852, Lincoln, TN [but I have no proof]. I would love to have some advise/suggestion from someone who has been doing this a while. I want to get it right as I go. Thanks!
