I am stuck on my great-grandmother's name and have not been able to find any information on her family. For years, someone had said that her surname was Trudell, but on my grandfather's baptismal certificate, her name was recorded as Valentine Gaudette. She was also called Blanche. I do not know if Valentine or Blanche was her given name. She was born about 1869 and was said to be from the Chateaugay region (NY? Canada?). On the baptismal certificate, the godfather was listed as Narcissus Gaudette and the baptism took place in North Adams, MA.
