Looking for Hannah Gause who was born in Virgin. 1880 census noted here in Haywood/Lauderdale county tennessee. Son's name is Irvin Gause who was married to a Sara Este. Any help would be appreciated.

I must have talked to you before this at some time about the Gause line. My husband's gg is Matthew Corbett Gause - step brother to your Mary Florine Gause - son of Bud Gause and Nora McCullers.

I only have 1 generation down from Joseph Barber and Amanda Gause.

You're ahead of me. My old computer crashed & I lost all my emails and email addresses.

If you received the picture through someone else - we'll have to compare our notes on this Gause family.

The children are all the children of Bud Gause though I don't have the picture in front of me so can't tell you who each of them are. Corbett is the oldest, then Mary Florine, George Preston, Magura Elizabeth (though she may have died by then), John Henry and Gabrilla.

Hi. I would like to know the names of her descendents. It is something I am doing to see if my husband and my massage therapist are connected. She comes from that area (family name Barber) and when I was reminded yesterday that my husband's Ggrandfather James (Bud) Gause had a sister Amanda married to a Barber ,I certainly needed to find out. She only knows back to perhaps grandparents or one generation before. Maybe some additional names would help her parents remember something. My husbands grandmother was Mary Florence Gause(d/o Bud and Eula Runnels Gause) who married George Washington Hooks. Any help would be great. Where did Evan Gause live before the many years spent in Fayette County, Luzerne Tp., Pennsylvania? Or was it Enoch Gause, I think it was Enoch Gause who lived in Fayette Co., Pa. Anyway, they were neighbors then and still are yet today, with the Counterman family. That is over 200 years! Did this line come from Chester County, Pa. and do you know when they migrated westward? I'm looking for information about a Frank Gause who was born in Austria (some censuses say Bohemia).
He immigrated to the USA in 1902 and became a citizen in 1917.
I find him married in 1920 to Lillian Bolduc and living with her widowed mother, Mary, in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
He was born 1/17/1888 (Austria/Bohemia)
and died 2/23/1946 in Minnesota.

If anyone has any information about Frank, his ancestors, or the Bolducs, I would sure appreciate it!

Married Levi Stetler s/oDaniel & Rhoda (Sharits) Stetler, b 4 Apr 1824/1826 Montgomery Co., Oh., d 4 Oct 1868 Willshire, V.W., Oh., bur Old Willshire Cemetery, Willshire, V.W., Oh., m 26 May 1862 V.W. Co. ( Hasother marriages.)

(1) David Wilson (Byrd) Stetler, b 1865 Oh, m Jessie Alice,
(2) Eliza Ellen Stetler 1867 - 1951.

hi virginia, my family is from shallotte north carolina.there is a place that i remember as gause landing. i have family there still and some where down the line one of my family married a gause. u might try looking at the court house records in shallotte north carolina. my father was john calvin somersette from somersette landing. i went too school with alot of gauses. so there is some still living there.

I am not related to this family but took a photo of the Sarah Gause gravestone in Oakdale cemetery Wilmington NC. Beside the big marker were five small white stones each with a child's name on it. 3 of the children died within 4 days of each other and then 10 days later another child was born. So she lost 3 children when 9 months pregnant and had a baby all within 2 weeks. All of the info. is from the front of the big marker.

William Gause, born 01 Jan 1708/09; died 15 Feb 1761 in Brunswick Co., NC. He married Ann Bryan Abt. 1735 in SC.
Ann Bryan, born Abt. 1718.

Any clues helpful, this is a great detective story. I am just starting the search.

I am trying to sort out this lineage. I received this, just when I thought I had it straight.

"Frederick Fritz Gause and Frederick Bruard Gause are not the same person.(I did know that) The John Gause that was married to Winnie Harris are the parents of Frederick Fritz Gause.

John Julius Gause and Emily R.Miller are the parents of Frederick Bruard Gause."

I thought my Fredrick Fitz Gause(16 Oct 1803, Horry Co, SC-23 Jun 1880)was the child of John Julius(28 Sep 1774, Brunswick, NC-25 Apr 1836 Brunswick, NC) Gause and Elizabeth Bacot Gause(1777, Gause Landing, NC-03 May 1836, Brunswick, NC)

Then who are this John Gause and Winnie Harris's parents? I never heard of her before. Where are they from?
I'm STUCK. Can anybody shed some light here?
