Death In Alameda
A dispatch was received in Big Meadows yesterday by Mrs. M. B. Olsen announcing the death in Alameda of Mr. Bert Gay, which occurred after an illness lasting about a week. Something like three years ago, the deceased was united in marriage to Miss Maude Randall, a niece of Mrs. Olsen. Since then their home has been in Alameda. Besides his wife and a little son, deceased leaves several other relatives. The remains will be buried in Chico, the former home of the widow. Mrs. Gay has many friends in northern Plumas, and in Quincy, as well, all of whom sympathize with her in her great loss.
