This is what I know to be true, although I do not have all the supporting documents: William G. Gaylor was born in Clinton Co, IL in March 1827-1833. He married Sarah Barkley. She and a child died in Montgomery Co IL in 1859. He enrolled in the Civil War in St. Louis and ended up in Floyd AR and married Sarah Ann Waller in White Co AR on 13 AUG 1864. He died in White Co AR 1906 or 1916. Sarah Waller was born in 1847 and died in 1921. William G. was known as "DOCK." W.G. Was g gunsmith by trade and because of that may believe he is connected to Calvin Smith Gaylor, also a gunsmith , that was in Taney Co MO., No Proof. He had the following kids with Sarah Waller: William Calvin, Joseph Burns, Louisa Gayler Story Jenkins, Martha Ann Gayler Ray.
