Searching for information about my great-grandfather, John Gaynor, born Nov.12, 1827 in County Cavan, Ireland. Died April 14,1905 in Columbus, OH USA.
He emigrated to the USA in 1847 and settled in Pottsville,PA.
In 1849 he married Anna Farley ( or Farelly), daughter of Phillip Mary, who was also born in County Cavan June 12,1824 and died July 3,1897 in Chillicothe,OH USA.
She emigrated to the USA in 1837 with her parents and settled in Pottsville, PA.
John had the following known siblings in the US:
a sister, Mrs. Honor OHara, living in New Orleans,LA in 1905,
a brother ,James, residing in New Orleans, LA, or Baton Rouge, LA or Natchez, MS after mid 19th century,
A brother, Patrick, domicile unknown.
