I upgraded my subscription today for the world tree project. Within less than 24 hours of having it, I cannot express how unhappy I am with this service. Your company has taken my online tree and melded it with another person's online tree to make it appear that the info you have is one. Yet there is no connection at all. I find your ethics very questionable. You have made your own tree lines for this service with no sources or facts and have tried to pass them off as factual just to make a profit. Worst of all my name is connected to part of that tree. I work very hard to make sure my work is documented. Ancestry.com has undermined the basis of genealogy just to make a dollar. I cannot go into all the many findings that I have already found wrong with this service, but I will mention the first (and worst) one yet. George Gdovin is in my tree. He is also in another person's tree. Although it states in the legend at the bottom of the page, alternative, if you go to source records and go down to contact people interested in Andrew Gdovin, the only person it comes to is me. Which wouldn't be so bad, but Ancestry.com took it on themselves to add a middle name to his father, which I did not have, just because someone else with a similar name almost matched. Then click on George Gdovin's name and it comes up with that he was married twice. Info I didn't have, nor the other person's tree had. Nor is this the even same person. It's just two people with the same name that ancestry.com decided to make as one person to make their own tree. This service is very deceiving especially to someone that is very new to genealogy. Thank goodness I am not and I caught on to your company's scam. I am very disappointed and although I am not canceling my other subscriptions, I do want to cancel my world tree project subscription immediately and hope your company will find a way to rectify this problem, and take my online tree off the world tree project until the necessarily corrections have been made.
