Who placed the bronze plaque at Peter Geiger's grave? When? Is there documentation?
Peter Geiger (1759-1843) is buried in Union county, Pennsylvania at St Peter’s Reformed church in Kelly township. He was married to Anna Maria Gehret.
At the foot of his tombstone is a bronze plaque “Peter Geiger/ 1 Regt Berks Co Militia/ Revolutionary War/ Nov 2 1759 Sep 2 1843”

Does anyone have further information on the Revolutionary Service of this person? Such as, who placed the plaque? When?
He may be the Peter Geiger listed in the Pa Archives under Capt. George Rheim. [Pennsylvania Archives", Vol. V, Fifth Series, p. 285] Other residents of Union county, PA served under Capt. Rheim--ex. Michael Hafer, buried in Driesach cemetery.
The family name is also spelled Geyer, Guyer, sometimes Gier.
