Classification: Query
Surnames: Geiser, Glogger, Spaar
I have been trying to research the Geiser family of Langenthal for about 2 years. My grandmother was born in Langenthal (1891), her mother was Marie Glogger (1852) m. Johannes Spaar, and her mother was Elisabeth Geiser b. 1837/1838 and d.June 2, 1924. I actually have the published death notice showing her as Elisabeth Glogger as her husband was Daniel Glogger, however it mentions the family of Albert Bosiger (probably a nephew).
I have Marie Glogger’s christening book with several names that seem to pretty much be Geiser women with a few friends thrown in the mix, Some names that come to mind are Marti, Leppert, Boegli, and Gerber. These names are all written in German script so I am still working on a few of them.
If any of this sounds familiar, I sure could use some help. I know that there was a Joseph Geiser in the 1700’s that had three wives and about 15 children, so there are a lot of Geisers in the 1800’s.
