Frank Genard came to this country in 1913 and live in Chicago, Illinois. He was born in Deurene, Antwerp Belgium. His wife name was Bertha her birth name was Huberta Paulina DeJonghe, Hoboken, Antwerp, Belgium. The D was added to thier name after they came to this country. He had a brother name Guts Genard wife Louise, son Charles. I would love to hear form anybody that may have a connection to them. Frank and Bertha was my grandparents.

Louis E. Genard was my grandfather's first cousin. My grandfather's mother was Josephine Genard and she was the sister of Louis' father Joseph Octave Genard.

Danielle, who has posted to this list, mentioned your name to me. She is in touch with family close to you and she and I have been trying to organize a meeting. I am so glad that you got in touch! Josephine Genard married Antoine Dyon {Dion, Young} and were in Putnam Ct. back to Quebec then finally in Northampton MA. Antoine had brothers though in the area of New Bedford. I have info on the family and would love to share it with you and to learn what you know also. We are beginning to be a group, Genard descendants in New England. You can get hold of me at cey@mediaone.net. and maybe we can coordinate with danielle and sit down and share our info.

I have met Candy Bryant who also wrote into the list and we had a winderful time at luch sharing info. Her family is descendant from Joseph Octaves brother Zepherine and their family remained in the Connecticut area.

I think I am related to the family of Louis E. Genard. My great grandmother was Emma Roy from Malone N. Y. Her Husband Was a Dazy. They had 2 sons named joseph and Emile and a daughter Marie. Louis Genard was from New Bedford , Mass. Most of the relatives Later moved to Willimantic, Connrcticut. I would appreciate any information t hat you could give me . Melina and Alfred Benoit were married on 1-3-1899 in Webster. MASS. Melina Genard was born in 1881 in Putman Connecuit. Alfred was born in 1877 in Burlington, VT.

They had 10 children from what I've found, Louie
George
Edward
Pearl
5 living children that I don't know there names.
Melina Genard is my great grandmother and I'd like to know more about her life etc

My grandfather married a Sophonie Genard, could be
Josephine daughter of Joseph Octave Genard in Manville, R. I.
My grandfaters name was Wilbrod Desrosiers b. 1876, I have no marriege date, but I do know that they had seven children one of which was my mother Eva Rose Violet Thibault.
If you have any info that could be of value to me I would appreciate your help.

I'd love to have the info on the Genards, my dad is Edward Charles ( Chuck) Gardner, I believe his greart grandfather changed the spelling of the name when they went to MA. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
