Hi, my great-great grandfather is William P. Gensler, my great-grandfather is William C. Gensler and my grandfather is Stanley W. Gensler. I am just looking to go back farther to find where my relatives came from prior to the U.S. I believe it is southern Germany. Also, my family seems to be mostly Protestant, but I have run into people who say that "Gensler" is a Jewish surname. Any help would be appreciated.
