I'm related to Elmer Gentis who is a brother of Levi Gentis.
The other family members were Charles,Hiram, Elizabeth, and William. Their parents were Abram and Mary Ann (Kinney) Gentis. They were both born in Ohio. Any more info please contact me.

My husband's relative is Samuel Gentis (1873-1951) m. Rosie Shoemaker(daugh of Solomon Shoemaker). Samuel's great grandfather was Daniel.
Their son was Daniel Gentis (1908-1988). Not sure if I have any info you want, but willing to help if I can.

Levi and Martha Gentis, Oregon1880-1917

Looking for the family of Levi Gentis and Martha Skeen. They were married 27 Oct 1873. They had children Roy and Lee. Martha Skeen Gentis died 14 Feb 1917 and is buried in Kelso Washington. I believe that Martha might be the sister of John King Skeen. Their parents died in a cholera epidemic on a wagon train in 1853 around Fort Boise,in what is now Boise Idaho. Any information would be deeply appreciated.

Responding to this post about Ida's sons. One, my dad is Jack E Gentis. He has 4 sons: John b1989, Dan b1983, Jasen b1960s-1970s and me, Greg b 1982. Jack's brother Frank is married and either somewhere out west or south. Jack's family lives in Dayton OH

My Father's brother was Clyde Gentis. He lived in Springfield Ohio. I live in Troy Ohio now. My sister is doing a family geneolgy, and would probably have more info for you. Her name is Marcia Flax now. But her maiden name is Gentis. Her Email Address is Flax@ametich.net I go by my middle name Tom.

You're information on my mother is correct. I also have cousins in Preble and Darke counties, Hubler's in New Madison Oh Corrigan's in New Paris Oh. Mom was actually born near Bashoreville, Oh on the family farm, she was a 2 lb premie, I still have a dress that she wore as a infant, it was off of her sister's doll ,16'' tall. my brother has a picture of her wearing the dress at age two.
Her mother,Hattie E. Boner-Hubler died in1970 at age 92. She had 125 living decendants at her funeral spanning 5 generations.

My brother and I both live in the Dayton, Ohio area. Our mother is Ida alice Hubler-Grntis, our Father was Albert D. Gentis Who was one of Ernest Gentis' four children, Marvin [the younger son] was last known to live in the L.A. area last contact'70. There wer two daughters also Catherine, the eldest and Ruth, neither of wich I have Heard anything on since mid50's. Earnests wife ,Catherine ,Iheard was supposed to have died in the early 90's in a nursing home in eastern Indiana.

HUBLER, Ida "Alice," b. abt 1915, d. November 1983. She married Albert GENTIS and it's believed that they had two sons. One son's name is Jack (youngest). Alice is the daughter of Sylvester and Hattie BONER Hubler. I believe that Alice was born in Preble Co, OH. Any information is greatly appreciated on this family. Thank you, in advance.
