Looking for anyone related to family of Henry (b 1856 WI) and Alvina (b 1863 WI - d 1919 IL). They had the following children:

Harriett (b Dec 1882 IL) married to Otto Brietenfeld;
Mabel (b Jul 1886 IL) married to William Mills;
Walter (b Apr 1887 IL) married to Anna McHallek;
Martha (b Apr 1889 IL) married to Frank Jirsa;
Alvina (b Sep 1892 IL) married to Harry A. Doll (divorced);
LeRoy (b Apr 1895 IL) married to Dorothy "Dora" Lambrecht.

I have a little more information...but not too much. My main interest is the Alvina married/divorced from Harry A. Doll (one of my great uncles). They had a daughter, Inez J. Doll born in 1917/1918. Thanks!

Trying to find Gerald and Geoffrey Gerke - sons of Vincent Gerke (1895) and Emily Wellington (I believe that was her surname). I believe that Geoff emigrated to Canada in about 1960 and married Charlotte and they had twins and Jerry (Gerald) followed. Gerald was a big band sax player. If you have any hints it would be appreciated as one of their relatives (the grandaughter of Florence, Wendy is trying to find them and trace the history) - oh and they are also related to me but only through marriage on the Blamires of Yorkshire ;o)

Brothers Geoffrey and Gerald Gerke both believed to have emigrated to Canada. Geoffrey first c1960 he married a canadian Charlotte and had twins. Both brothers were musical, Gerald played for Ken Mackintosh band. They were cousins of my late mother Eve Gerke,any info would be wonderful.

GERKE – Mrs. Bernadine (HOMAN) GERKE, aged 70, widow of William GERKE of 854 First St NW, passed away Saturday morning at the home of her son, Robert at 611 Fremont NW. She is survived by six sons, Fred E, Joseph, Robert, and Frank all of Grand Rapids, Pfc Adolph and Pfc Herbert, United States army in the Philippines, one daughter, Mrs. Louis (Marie) SEIGEL; 25 grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister Mrs. Mathilda BOSTWICK of Grand Rapids, and one brother, Edward HOMAN of Buffalo, NY. Funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's church. Internment in Mount calvary cemetery. Mrs. GERKE reposes at the Alt Mortuary, where members of the LCBA and friends will recite the Rosary Monday evening at 8 o'clock.

Augt 6 - At the Catholic church, in the presence of an immense audience, Robert Gerke and Miss Mabel Wilhelm, daughter of Mrs. A.S. Wilhelm, were married, the Rev. Father Wolf officiating. The large building was completely filled with the friends. The church was beautifully decorated. The Misses Alma Bernstein and Lillian Gerke and Edward Wilhelm groosmen. The happy couple left for a visit to the former home of the groom at Grand Rapids, Mich.

I hope your doing well. My Mom's name is Darlene Marie Gerke and her maiden name is swain, she was born 2/4/54. I have two sisters Jennifer Marie Gerke 4/16/73 how has two children: Colin Scott Gerke 6/12/93 and Quentin Neil Gerke 3/18/97; my other sister Julie Ann 5/20/78 is married to a Marc Brigance and they have two children: Arrenda Darlene and Gloria 4/13/03 (I don't know Arrenda's birth date off the top of my head); I have two brothers Phillip Jon 2/21/77 who is married to a woman named Amy; my other brother is Matthew James 6/21/79; my full name is Daniel Keith Gerke, Jr. and I was born 2/9/72 and I am married to an Evgeneia Spirdon Dolos of Tennessee.

My great grandmother was Amelia Kunze and she married Bernhardt Gereke in Chicago. Amelia was born in a part of Germany that is now Poland and Bernhardt Gereke was born in Bremen Germany. I have not been able to find any siblings of Bernhardt who lived in the US. Ameilia Kunze had two sister who lived in Chicago, but neither had any children. I found good records for Bernhardt Gereke in the Bremen Archives, but have not been able to find any living relatives.

Yes, he used to play in a band but now he thinks that he is too old. My Dad has five kids, two daughters; Jenn & Julie, and three boys; myself, Phil, & Mattie.

Everyone in my family still lives in Grand Rapids except for me, I live in Chattanooga Tennessee where I am completing my graduate degree this May.

If I remember correctly your mother is my Dad's older sister but that's about all I know. The only sibling that I have met of my Dad's is my Uncle Jim who I do not believe is related to your Mom.

How about yourself, any brothers, sisters, and/or children?

Please let me know if you are able to find out anything about our Grandfather. I know very little of him, except for he won the golden gloves for boxing a long time ago and that he was a tool and die maker.

Two other Zellmers Julius and Christ b:1864 (may be his sons) moved to ND around 1880. I did find a connection to the Tomah WI area from my other relatives. Kortbein, Weber, Scheer.

Together they bore William Jr, 1865, Anton 1866, Elizabeth 1868, Wilhemina 1870, Theresa 1872, Robert 1875, Clementine 1875, Jseph 1877, Mathilde 1879, Hugo 1880 and Maria 1883 - All born in Germany.

I descend from William Jr.
