England, Wiltshire - GERRING, Thomas

Surnames: Gerring, Goddard
Does anyone have the birth of a Thomas GERRING, born about 1771, supposedly in Highworth, Wiltshire. The 1851 census gives his age as 78 and born in Highworth. He died in 1854 giving the age of 83.

He married Elizabeth GODDARD in 1797 in Shellingford, Berkshire.

Any leads would be wonderful - he's my 4g grandfather.
